Today, we launch the first important update for Flat UI Pro (v. 1.1). Would you be able to release the new documentation somewhere? It would be very helpful to be able to see the quality of the documentation, and how easy it will be to work with the framework, before spending $150.

    Many thanks!

      Hi Michael,
We are planing to release a better documentation with Flat UI version 1.2. Additionally in all our future updates we will improve not only Flat UI itself but also documentation based on our customers feedback’s.

That is great that the next version will have improved documentation, but what I was hoping was that you could publish the documentation online, allowing potential customers to be able to view it before purchase, and we can then get a better idea of what it is we’re buying.
From a developer’s point of view, the documentation is the easiest and most accurate way to find out what features your framework has, how it works, how easy it is to develop with, and how exactly it modifies the underlying Bootstrap framework. It is difficult to justify spending $150 without having seen this.

        Many thanks!

Thank you for suggestions Michael. We will do better documentation (extended and more detailed). I guarantee that you will not spend money, but you will invest.

Yes the documentation should be publicly available online.

One very growing trend for hosting documentation is using GitHub and how it can be a CMS using markdown files. Then you can also accept pull requests from your users to update the documentation in addition to your organization’s personal work.

Also this will give you a nice issues list if you don’t already have a public issues list.

It would be nice if we had access to a git repo instead of having to download a zip file, it would make merging in your updates with our local changes easier.

I am experiencing the following error in line 72 of application.js:

“Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ’0′ of undefined”

Is there someplace a tutorial exists on how to download the new 1.1 version and get it integrated with Bootstrap?

I would like to develop my site; however, I am finding it hard getting started with the Flat UI pro kit. Any pointers would be helpful thanks!

Is there a simple comparison table somewhere for Flat UI Free vs Flat UI Pro? If so, why is it so hard to find on a site dedicated to professional design? And if not, why not (same qualifier)?

We not have comparison table, if you will look presentation you will see difference. Pro has many components, responsive design, retina ready, many icons, updates are free etc…

I watched the presentations and it’s still not clear to me what the differences are between all the versions. Because of the lack of information I’m very hesitant to spend the $ for the pro version. Also – I should have to sit through a video to see what something is – I’d much rather read a document which takes much less time.
        thanks.

I see a lot of comments about compatibility/completeness regarding the two versions. Is the Pro version an upgrade that includes everything in the free version and more? Or does the Pro version have different features, but not all features from the Free one?
