Yeh – Except it’s NOT free at all- you have to buy the genesis framework in order to get the “free theme” what a waste of time…

Don’t get fooled, this isn’t free. You need the Genesis framework cost $60,-. This is in my opinion misleading.

Genesis framework is one time purchase with lifetime update. You can use it in as many website as you want. So, just like @Adrian said, is free for people who already have Genesis Framework :).

    • Jinson Abraham Jan 11, 12:07 pm

Indeed one have to pay for genesis framework to use the genesis child themes. But you have to consider that almost all the child themes from studiopress are also paid themes. Its not often you would get a child theme of this quality with responsive layout, woocom integrated and bbpress compatible for absolutely free.

I disagree. Buy the Pro Plus Package and you get all Studiopress present and future theme at a once all (not recurrent fee). It is the most economic and productive theme purchase I’ve ever made and I I have made a number I quite regret.

    So good! Thanks so much!

I am wondering , What license does it released under ?
I know its free, but is it 100% GPL ? ( Legally It should be in my opinion , as the parent Studiopress is 100% GPL).

I’m having a problem installing the theme. I’m getting this error:
The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.

    Theme install failed.

I do have Genesis installed, so I don’t know what the problem might be.

    Have any suggestions?

    • Andrew Feb 4, 9:02 pm

Ok, I got it activated by uploading it in FTP. (I am very new to this – so that was impressive for me – lol)

I’m now looking to change the size of the homepage slider, or figure out the size of the images that are used in the slider. Right now my images are very stretched.

      • AyoThemes Mar 1, 2:19 am

For now, you need to edit some CSS if want to resize the slider width. I’m planning to update the theme in next couple weeks *crossfinger :)

Adrian, loving the theme, but am not succeeding in setting it up to look like yours – am i missing some menu settings to get the search field and contact field up there? even though having installed and set up all recommended plugins, there is nothing written about it in the documentation.

    Hello,

I have the Genesis Framework and have installed this Child Theme; on the demo page it states under Plugins that it has: Aqua Page Builder.

I can not find this plugin within my admin area, nor can I find it in the: Add New Plugin options.

Please could some one advise on how I can find this and activate it to use, or if it is using another name?

    Thank you in advance…

    • Craig Burnett Mar 2, 2:40 am

Hi I have managed to figure this out now. However, on this theme there is a drop down page at the side of the search function… does any person know what this plugin is called ?

      Thank you in advance

    • AyoThemes Mar 2, 3:53 am

You can get that plugin here https://github.com/sy4mil/Aqua-Page-Builder
On the next update AyoShop will have full support with Aqua Page Builder plugin :)

something just happened overnight with mine. the woocommerce tabs for description and so on are all messed up. They now show up as a list and the images are all over the place

      • AyoThemes Mar 6, 10:42 am

Yes, there is some depreciate function from jQuery UI so the tabs is not work properly. We will update the theme in next two weeks.

No, not yet. Still on progress, probably in next two weeks we will update the themes.

Hi, Love the theme, but I can’t get the WooCommerce Cart to appear in the primary sidebar. If I change the theme to Twenty Eleven and put the WooCommerce Cart in a sidebar widget, it appears OK. If I then revert back to Ayoshop theme it appears OK, until I clear the cart, and then add another product, the sidebar cart does not reappear.
    Thanks

Awesome theme guys, just can’t seem to get the slider to work as I need.
It always seems to mess up, and when I try and remove it, the loading bars stay there and It messes up the general layout.

I can turn it off in the code, but then the featured products and widgets also stop working.

any help would be appreaciated :)

    Robbie

    • Robbie Seath Mar 22, 6:38 pm

It doesn’t matter, got a 3rd party slider working well :)

Is there possibly a way to get different categories showing on separate pages. Not just having tem all under shop, so I can have a dropdown menu of categories on my menu.

      cheers again.

I have installing this theme to my blog, but can not finished..
    this is the message..

Installing Theme from uploaded file: ayoshop-wp-theme.zip
    Unpacking the package…
    Installing the theme…

The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.

    Theme install failed.

    please help me… thanks..

    • Tina Felipe Apr 9, 9:04 pm

Hi, the reason why the stylesheet is missing is because you must have Genesis Framework installed otherwise the AyoShop theme won’t work. Genesis Framework is not free so you must buy it.

  21. Hadi Farnoud Apr 9, 1:38 pm

Slider does not work with latest Genesis (1.9.1).

I just added a few pictures in a page with Homepage Slider template. do I have to do anything else? the page doesn’t even show up in homepage (yes I did select it in settings > reading)

Slider will be handled by Aqua Page Builder plugin starting from version 1.2

I paid someone to edit the theme…now I can’t do the genesis/woo or Theme updates without causing an issue and losing my customizations. Hmmm :(

If you make the changes I had someone do to this theme to clean it up, I’d be able to update it :)

What I had done was clean up the look of the blog style area (removed the author, date, tags etc… much cleaner and friendlier looking)

    You can see here: http://mixersonsale.com/recipes/

Now it just has Title/Photo/Description with [read more] and separation bars. Nice eh?

Perhaps you’ll look into changing this for an update :)

LOVE AYOSHOP and don’t want to use anything else!

Hi, everything seems to be working, although 2 things may need changes. For the header, the width and height values are been switched (height = width value, width = height value). Also, the header does not seem to be working in ie9. It is not resizing it correctly when I enter the logo at a larger size (700 x 300) and resize it to half as suggested (350 x 300). It just shows the 700 x 300 version cropped.

Great looking theme but where do we get it from? – there is no links to download it anywhere………

  26. avil May 3, 2:29 pm

Will I lose changes if I update Ayoshop 1.1 to 1.2.2?

    • AyoThemes May 5, 7:51 pm

Apparently yes, we still looking a solution about this issue. Because there is no grand child theme.

  27. Guy Pomerleau May 4, 10:15 pm

The slider doesn’t work! All I see is the loading rectangles. Any help?

    • AyoThemes May 5, 7:40 pm

Try to deactive all plugins except all recommended plugin that already listed at Appearance > Install Plugins.

      • Guy Pomerleau May 5, 7:53 pm
