The 1140px CSS Grid System

The 1140px CSS Grid SystemThe 1140 grid fits perfectly into a 1280 monitor. Design once at 1140 for 1280, and with very little extra work, it will adapt itself to work on just about any monitor, even mobile.

Skeleton

SkeletonSkeleton’s base grid is a variation of the 960 grid system. The syntax is simple and it’s effective cross browser, but the awesome part is that it also has the flexibility to go mobile like a champ. Go ahead, resize the browser and watch as the layout reacts!

Poorly written article, not very informative. Your first two paragraphs are riddled with errors and I still don’t know anything about responsive design.

I don’t know why you list the Blueprint under the name “responsive web design”. This framework doesn’t address various screen resolution display matter at all. I built a drag-n-drop feature of my web application with the CSS framework. Due to the fixed size screen layout, the feature doesn’t work on a small resolution screen at all.

Great roundup you got here Adrian, one thing that I would suggest addressing is the fact that Blueprint is not a responsive framework.

Hi – I’m looking to hire a freelancer who can take our PSDs and create responsive HTML template files using HTML5/CSS3/Javascript. (Note that we realize that our PSDs might have to be slightly to work in a responsive design environment.)

In any case – I’m having difficulty tracking down people who actually can do this. Any suggestions on how to find them?
