Hundreds of web designers were happy to sign up for the bug hunting and crushing exercise. They came up with helpful ideas like these:

Bill H August 11, 2016

I have 4 websites using Divi. I also run a non-Divi website built for a senior citizen          community. They do the updates to the website, but they aren’t extremely computer-  savvy, so it’s tough for me to teach them. I’m thinking Divi 3.0 is going to be a good fit for them.

Anees August 13, 2016

I can confirm that Divi has enabled me to learn and master WordPress for small and      personal level site development over the past three months of my use. Since then, I     never tried other options like I did over the past 4 years. Thank your EG for giving   me the Divi of my love now :). Definitely, the Beta is the wish I can think about now.

If you are a web designer, you should get really excited about Divi 3.0 – This is why.

Divi has long been a favorite of WordPress users, who have found it to be intuitive, modern, and cool. Divi 3.0 is new. It is also intuitive, modern, and cool – but to a much greater extent. Divi 3.0’s showpiece, the new visual builder, has much to do with it. Yet there is plenty more to love about this new release as well.

“Unlike the current version of the Divi Builder, in which elements on the page are represented by blocks, elements in the visual editor are represented by themselves. You can click into any section, row or module, and edit the element’s settings just like you would in the current builder.

When in visual mode, however, the broader editing experience, particularly the interplay between a module’s settings and the actual output of those settings, is infinitely more intuitive.

When you make a change, it happens instantly (and I mean instantly)! All of the editing occurs in your browser which means there is no need to use Ajax calls to load elements or update the design, and since we are using React, updating the DOM is incredibly efficient. Building a new page is really, really fast.” – explains Nick Roach, founder and CEO at Elegant Themes.

Just about everything that made Divi’s earlier versions so wildly popular is still there. Including the 40+ customizable content models that provide the flexibility you need to create anything you want.

The new hover and click function makes adding new content easier than you ever thought possible. There are plenty of other pleasant surprises in store for you to – click here to find out all about them.

Easily Customize Everything

Easily Customize Everything

You can customize any design that you happen to be working on. The edits or adjustments you make appear in real time.

Here are some examples of the design elements you can customize.

  • Want to change fonts? There are dozens of custom fonts to choose from.
  • Changing text size or color, or line height, or letter spacing is as easy as can be. The same is true for changing heights and widths of column and row structures.
  • You can drag, drop, and paste content elements, or simply add content by hovering and clicking.
  • You’ll find adding background colors, images, or video easy, and the same is true if you want to spice things up with parallax effects.
  • It’s a snap to apply different design settings for responsive breakpoints.

Enjoy a Beautiful Inline Editing Experience

When you are working with Divi 3.0’s visual builder you will find yourself doing the two-step. Click and edit. Adding, deleting, or changing text, or font style, size, or spacing I as easy as that.

Enjoy a Beautiful Inline Editing Experience

The online editor UI is so super smooth and streamlined. You rarely have to think beyond deciding what you want to edit.

Divi’s Incredible Speed Awaits You as Well

The JavaScript powered building experience occurs right on your browser. You won’t experience the slow performance that often results from page loading from a server.

What you get instead is nearly instantaneous website updates as you edit. Neither Internet speed nor server speed is an issue. The Divi 3.0 front end page builder is likely the fastest builder/editor you’ve ever worked with.

The Builder Interface – Customizable and “Invisible”

“Invisible” in this sense means that really good design often goes unnoticed. The best UI design doesn’t brag about how good it is, or get in your way. It simply predicts your intentions and offers solutions – the essence of intuitiveness. You won’t be bombarded with features and options that you don’t need. You may not even realize the builder is there at first; but it is. As you begin working with a page, the controls you need are there for you.

The Divi 3.0 visual builder offers yet another surprise. You can customize its interface. The controls can be displayed in a manner of your choosing, and they will never get in your way. Since this is the first WordPress builder with a customizable interface, you might think it may take some getting used too. It won’t. Like everything else about the builder, customizing the UI is easy and intuitive.

Powered by React

Powered by React

The Divi 3.0 visual builder isn’t an upgrade of a previous version.

It’s totally new, and it has some amazing capabilities. The builder was built from the ground up using React and Flux. These are new technologies that represent an investment in the future. An investment that we expect to pay dividends to both Divi and Divi users for years to come.

It’s a good feeling when your users tell you that you’ve accomplished something special – or in this case, revolutionary. Discover more about the amazing Divi 3.0!

    Holy Mother of God!!! 8D

Boy, has the WordPress community come a long way from where it was 7-8yrs ago when I first began my freelance career. It’s truly amazing the capabilities being added to this open source platform every year. Hell, we’ve gone from basically coding your own content inside the page editor… to shortcodes which I’d quickly come to despise of. Then by the graces of GODOCD and wants a clean view of my work, thus… DIVI 3.0!!!!
