Hands down the most intuitive email builder I've ever used. Here are a few reasons why:

•  Drag-and-drop content modules are well designed and actually useful!
•  In my experience, emails always export mobile-friendly.
•  HTML is always clean and easy to modify after exporting.
•  Very clean and snappy interface.
•  Images hosted online with no manual management!
•  Simple project/folder hierarchy.

And many more.

I like that it is easy to use, and I don't need to know how to code. We send emails through Pardot, and I am easily able to export the HTML code and just paste it right into Pardot.

We were looking for something that gave our marketing team more control over email layouts without having to deal with the complicated module builder in HubSpot. Postcards is super simple to use and means we can quickly create different emails for different segments.

What do I like best? The clean designs!
From top to bottom they are flawless. When you communicate internally or externally to an audience, the initial impression and impact is created in the first couple of seconds. Design is paramount. Using Postcards has allowed me to send amazing emails to my customers and create that wow impact every time you open them.

Cutting edge design, and user friendly are just a few attributes of this stunning email builder. Well done Designmodo!

Have quite a knack for Marketing

I have been using Postcards to create email templates for over a year, and it's among my favourite tools that I've recommended to several marketers since I discovered it.

Postcards email builder is awesome. It allows us to design emails in minutes and know they work on all devices. It used to take our designers weeks to get them responsive with back and forth from our different teams.

Quite literally has revolutionised the way I do email. Saves me so much time not having to fiddle arounded with html for ages!

Postcards offers a wide range of options for customizing email templates, and their customer support team is readily available to assist with any issues that may arise. This level of support is uncommon in today's digital landscape, making Postcards a crucial tool for anyone who is serious about their email marketing strategy.

The drag and drop feature is user-friendly and easy to navigate. I also appreciate the ability to easily embed links into text and buttons, as opposed to other tools that require the use of HTML.

We currently use Postcard in our growth team and planning to spread it across all the organization. Templates never fail a check test on Litmus, really a great tool!

We started using Postcards about a year ago, and since then, we've created some pretty dynamic email templates and print layouts! The interface is super easy to use and our emails got a much-needed refresh.

We Have Answers

  • Which email clients and platforms does Postcards work with?

Postcards is built and tested to render reliably across the major email clients, including Gmail, Apple Mail, Outlook (desktop and Outlook.com), Yahoo Mail, AOL, and the native mail apps on iOS and Android. For sending, you can export your templates directly to popular platforms such as Mailchimp, HubSpot, Klaviyo, SendGrid, SendPulse, Brevo, Constant Contact, and Zoho Campaigns — or download clean HTML to use anywhere.

  • Do you plan on adding more blocks to Postcards?

Yes, of course! We have a lot more block types in our roadmap, and we welcome any suggestions for the types of block you’d like to see in our updates – feel free to leave them here.

  • Are there any limits to the number of exported emails from Postcards?

It depends on your plan. The free plan includes 5 exports per month and Plus includes 20 per month, while the Pro plan has no export limit — you can export as many emails as you need.

  • Do you provide any support?

Yes! We can help you out with any question related to Postcards if you have an active license. Customer support is available here.

  • Is there a way to become an Affiliate reseller of Postcards?

Yes, you can earn 25% of Postcards’ Price if you bring us a new customer. You can do it here.

  • Why do my custom fonts look different when I send them?

As far as we know, not all email clients offer universal support for web fonts. If a web font is not supported by an email client, it is changed to a fallback font that will be seen instead. In most cases, the fallback fonts are Helvetica, Arial, or a generic sans serif font. Lately, iOS mail clients override web fonts with their own font – San Francisco.

  • Can I edit the images, text, and layout of my email?

Yes. Everything in a Postcards template is fully editable: swap images, edit text inline, and rearrange or restyle the layout with drag and drop. You can also describe a change in plain language and let AI Suite apply it across the whole email.

  • Is there any difference between Plus and Pro licenses?

Both plans include the full drag-and-drop builder, brand presets, and AI Suite — so the difference is scale, not features. Pro removes the monthly export limit (Plus includes a set monthly allowance), adds more teammate seats, and comes with a larger monthly AI-credit allowance: 10,000 credits versus 5,000 on Plus. Pro also unlocks extras like CDN image hosting and unlimited test-email sends.

  • What happens if I cancel or stop paying?

Your account doesn’t disappear. If your license lapses, you drop to the free plan: your most recently created templates stay available to open and edit, and any images you’ve hosted with us stay online. You keep those emails — you just lose the paid features (higher export limits, AI credits, Email Client Preview) and priority support until you renew.

  • Can I use Postcards offline (with no internet connection)?

Postcards runs in your browser, so the builder itself needs an internet connection. Once you’ve exported an email, though, you can open and edit those exported files on your computer offline.

  • Can I install a version of Postcards on my own server and provide access to it for my clients?

Access to Postcards is only available at this link https://designmodo.com/postcards/app/.

  • Can I request a refund?

Yes. We offer a refund if Postcards doesn’t work as described — just reach out to support with the details. Since there’s also a free plan you can use to test the builder and its exported code before buying, we’d recommend trying that first to be sure Postcards fits your workflow.

  • Can I still use my emails after a refund?

No. A refund cancels the license, which also covers any emails you created under it, so those can no longer be used. We offer refunds when Postcards doesn’t work for you or with your email platform.

  • Is my data secure?

Yes. Your projects and content stay yours — we don’t sell your data, and we don’t use your content to train AI models. Data is encrypted in transit, images you host with us are served over secure hosting (with global CDN delivery on Pro), and access to your account is protected by your login. For full details on how we collect, store, and handle data, see our Privacy Statement.

  • What about Outlook 2013 120 dpi, Windows 10 Mail, Android 4.4?

We have invested over 60 hours working on bugs with these platforms. We also found a lot of email developers around the world having the same issues and not having a solution. We will do our best to track changes with these platforms, but it seems like they are not being updated anymore.

  • Why are my shadows not displayed in Mailchimp?

There are two important factors that affect how your campaign looks in your contact's inbox: Email Client rendering and Email Service Provider restrictions. Some email clients don't support CSS properties such as box-shadow, border-radius, etc. And some ESPs like Mailchimp forcefully remove drop-shadow code for newsletters that are being sent through that platform.

  • Why do background images not display in Outlook?

Yes, this is a global issue. All email builders out there have a problem when it comes to exporting email templates that contain background images or rounded borders and send them to Outlook users. The reason why this happens is that Outlook requires specific VML-code to support background images and rounded corners. Postcards has that code, but when it comes to exporting your fresh and crispy email template to a .zip archive or an HTML file, most ESPs (Email Service Providers) don't rewrite that code to support the VML-code. So that's why we created the feature of direct export to other ESPs. We also covered this issue by hosting your images on our servers, so the final HTML code would have proper Image URLs and VML-code. What we recommend to do to solve this problem: (1) Use direct export (Export > Export to ...) instead of exporting projects as .zip-archives. (2) If you use an ESP that is not listed inside the "Export to .." tab and you have to use the "Download as .zip" option, make sure that you export the project with the "Host images online" toggle switched on. Then import just the code from the index.html file into your ESP.

  • How do I send Postcards templates through email using Gmail?

Sending Postcards templates through email using Gmail can be done easily with the help of a Chrome extension called Insert HTML by Designmodo. This extension allows you to insert HTML code directly into your email, making it possible to include Postcards templates in your message.

  • How do I send Postcards templates through email using Outlook?

If you're using Outlook, you can also send Postcards templates through email with the help of the Insert HTML by Designmodo plugin, available on the Microsoft AppSource website.

  • What is an AI credit?

A credit is used each time AI Suite performs a creation or editing action, such as generating a template, running a transformation, expanding content, applying a global style change, or running a design analysis. Plus plans include 5,000 credits per month and Pro plans include 10,000.

  • How many credits does creating an email use?

It depends on the AI model you choose. Generating a full email from scratch uses roughly 150 to 300 credits with the Basic model, or about 1,000 to 1,500 with the higher-quality Ultra model. Editing or transforming an existing email costs much less.

  • What happens when I run out of credits?

Your monthly credits reset at the start of each billing cycle. If you need more before then, you can top up additional credits at any time in the app.

  • How much do credit top-ups cost?

Top-ups are available any time in the app: 5,000 credits for $7, 15,000 credits for $14, or 40,000 credits for $25 (the best value).
