Build AMP Emails People Can Use Inside the Inbox
Add an accordion or an image carousel to your email, then export in AMP format. Subscribers expand sections and swipe through images without ever leaving Gmail. Every design ships with an HTML fallback automatically.

No code at any step
A static picture of your content.
Or the content itself.
A normal email can only show. Every product a reader wants to compare, every FAQ they want to open, every extra image you couldn’t fit — all of it becomes a link out to somewhere else. AMP lets the email do the job in place.
-
Without AMP — every answer is a click away
Six products means six images stacked down the page, or a link to the site. A long FAQ means a long email.
static email▢ product one — image
▢ product two — image
▢ product three — image
▢ “see all six on our site →”
▢ reader leaves, or doesn’t -
With AMP — the email holds it all
Six products in one swipeable carousel. The FAQ collapsed into rows that open on a tap.
amp email✓ carousel — six products, one block
✓ autoplay and looping on
✓ accordion — FAQ opens in place
✓ shorter email, same content
✓ fallback for clients without AMP
Two interactive elements, and a format to send them in
Drag them in like any other Postcards module. Style them like any other Postcards module. There is no AMP markup to learn and nothing to hand to a developer.
-
Accordion element
Collapsible sections a subscriber expands directly inside the email. Ideal for FAQs, shipping and returns detail, agendas, or long terms that would otherwise push your call to action off the screen.
-
Image carousel element
Multiple images in one swipeable slider, with autoplay and looping enabled by default. A product range, a lookbook, or an event gallery in the space a single image used to take.
-
AMP export
Export or copy your project in AMP format, ready to paste into the AMP field of an email platform that supports it. The regular HTML version is produced alongside it.
Where AMP works — and what happens everywhere else
AMP is not supported by every email client, and it never has been. That is a feature of how it was designed rather than a problem to solve: an AMP email is sent as two versions in one message, and each client takes the one it understands.
-
Clients that render the AMP version
Gmail, Yahoo Mail, AOL Mail, Mail.ru and FairEmail. Gmail alone is most of why this is worth doing — and it requires the sending address to be registered with Google first.
-
Everywhere else — the HTML fallback
Apple Mail, Outlook and the rest receive the standard HTML version of the same design. Nobody sees a broken email, and nobody sees an empty one.
From drag-and-drop to a dynamic email in three steps
The building is the easy part. The one step people miss is the third one.
-
1
Build with AMP elements
Drop an accordion or an image carousel into your template alongside your usual modules, and style them to match the rest of the design.
-
2
Export in AMP format
Export or copy the AMP version and paste it into the AMP field of your email platform. The HTML version travels with it as the fallback.
-
3
Register your sender address
Gmail only renders AMP from senders it has approved. Register the address once with Google — it is a per-address review, and it is what stands between a working AMP email and a silent fallback.
AMP for Email Questions
-
What is AMP for Email?
AMP for Email is a format that lets an email contain interactive content — sections a reader can expand, images they can swipe through — instead of a static picture of that content. The message carries both an AMP version and a regular HTML version, and each email client renders whichever it supports.
-
How do I build an AMP email in Postcards?
Drag the Accordion or Image Carousel element into your template like any other module, then style it to match your design. When you are done, export or copy the project in AMP format. There is no AMP markup to write.
-
Which email clients support AMP?
Gmail, Yahoo Mail, AOL Mail, Mail.ru and FairEmail. Apple Mail, Outlook and other clients receive the standard HTML version of the same design automatically, so the email works everywhere.
-
Do I need to register with Google to send AMP emails?
Yes, for Gmail. Google reviews and approves each sending address before it will render AMP from it, so you send a production-quality AMP email to their review address and complete a registration form. Until that is approved, Gmail shows your HTML fallback instead.
-
What happens in email clients that do not support AMP?
They render the HTML version, which Postcards produces alongside the AMP one. Readers on Outlook or Apple Mail see your design as a normal email — the accordion appears as expanded sections and the carousel as an image.
-
Is AMP for Email available on the free plan?
No. AMP for Email support, the Accordion element and the Image Carousel element are available on the Plus and Pro plans.
Your next campaign could be swipeable.
Open the editor, drop in a carousel, and see what an email looks like when it stops being a flyer.
