Need a Beefree alternative with team collaboration?
Like Postcards, Beefree is a no-code, drag-and-drop email template builder with the ability to convert email designs into launch-ready HTML. But how does it stack up against Postcards? Does Beefree offer the same value for money? Let’s find out.
Open EditorThe Breakdown
-
Drag and drop editor
The user interfaces for Postcards and Beefree are fairly similar; both let you drag-and-drop modules without needing to write any code. And both apps come with a large number of pre-designed templates to get you started faster - though if you want to, you can customize them however you like in both Postcards and Beefree.
-
Real-Time Collaboration
This is the biggest difference between Postcards and Beefree. On the Postcards Pro plan, priced at $29/month, you can work together with your teammates and see their changes in real time. In fact, you can even see their cursor.
Real-time co-editing is available on Beefree too, but collaboration there is priced by the seat: its entry paid plan covers two people, and every extra editor is $15/month against $8/month on Postcards.
-
See it before you send it
Beefree can show you client renders, but only by passing your email to your own Litmus or Email on Acid account — a separate subscription you pay for on top. Postcards includes email client preview in the editor on every paid plan, so you see Gmail, Outlook and Apple Mail without a second tool or a second bill.
-
Customizable mobile view
Both Postcards and Beefree’s email templates are responsive, and both give you mobile controls. The difference is how far they reach: in Postcards you open the mobile view and adjust spacing, sizes, and what shows or hides independently of the desktop layout, so it’s worth comparing the specific controls against your own workflow.
Pricing
Beefree’s pricing closely mirrors Postcards, but there are a few differences, particularly in data traffic, test emails, and what each extra seat costs.
-
Exports per month
On the free plan, Beefree offers 6 exports per month, compared with 5 on Postcards’ free plan. To get unlimited exports, the pricing is very similar: $29/month for the Postcards Pro plan, versus $30/month for Beefree’s cheapest paid tier.
And when it comes to data traffic, you’re much more limited on Beefree: the free plan includes just 25GB, while the Team plan gives you 250GB. Postcards, meanwhile, offers unlimited data traffic across all plans.
-
Stored templates per account
Both free plans let you keep 10 template projects at any one time, so the difference shows up when you want to check your work: Postcards sends 10 test emails a day even on the free plan, while Beefree has no test send at all.
Or, if you need more than 10 template projects, Postcards gives you unlimited template projects on the $19/month Plus plan, compared with $30/month for unlimited templates on Beefree’s cheapest paid tier.
Integrations
Both Postcards and Beefree work with every major email service provider, including HubSpot, Mailchimp, Sendpulse, Brevo, and more.

I like that it is easy to use, and I don't need to know how to code. We send emails through Pardot, and I am easily able to export the HTML code and just paste it right into Pardot.

The Winner
Postcards and Beefree have similar offerings, mostly at a similar price point. But there are two key differences: Postcards supports real-time co-editing on Pro, and every extra editor costs $8 a month against $15 on Beefree.
And if you need to work with lots of templates at once, Postcards does provide better value; unlimited templates and exports come in at $29/month on Postcards Pro against $30/month on Beefree, and annual billing brings Postcards Pro down to $24/month.
It’s a tightly contested race, then, but it looks like Postcards comes out on top.

Choose what Designmodo can use
We keep essential cookies on for security, your account, your cart and remembering this choice. Optional categories stay off unless you enable them.
Essential and security
Your login session and account, your shopping cart and checkout, payment and fraud prevention through Stripe, anti-abuse checks through Cloudflare Turnstile, our HelpScout support chat, and remembering this cookie choice and announcements you close. It also covers Metorik, our store reporting, which records how you reached the site so orders can be attributed, and Sentry, which reports errors so we can keep the apps working. Plausible analytics and Pulsetic uptime and performance monitoring are included too; both are cookieless and store no personal identifiers.
Analytics and performance
Cookie-based measurement through Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager: page views, referring pages, browser and device details, approximate region from your IP, and product events. Inside our apps it also covers PostHog and Amplitude, which help us understand how features are used; session recording is off. Leave this off and measurement stays cookieless and non-identifying.
Marketing and attribution
Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing: advertising identifiers and landing page attribution, so we can measure which campaigns lead to signups and purchases.
What is not optional: account sessions, cart and checkout, payment and security workflows, and abuse prevention. These are needed to provide the service safely.
